Our prayer is that you would be blessed and strengthened by the power of Jesus Christ and that you will live a life of abundance in fellowship, joy and liberty. Ringel Heights Baptist Church is here for you. We are not just a church. We are a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord and celebrate Jesus as King. We study the Word, practice what we learn and in the process grow together. May God richly bless you!

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Ringel Heights Baptist Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and Biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Pastor Kenny Johnson, Senior Pastor

As the primary pastor, Pastor Kenny has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. Pastor Kenny attended Holmes Bible College and is a graduate of Charleston Southern University. He is an evangelical text driven preacher. Pastor Kenny also is an accomplished soloist.

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Ringel Heights Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Ringel Heights members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Missions & Outreach

Ringel Heights Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending and supporting these missions with our money and with our prayers. We annually support the Operation Christmas Child with shoe boxes filled with games, toys, items of clothing, candy, and of course scripture lessons.  We support Zion’s Bridge Ministry which provides ministry assistance to Israel and we support an orphanage and children’s ministry in Tanzania. The Yellow House Ministry of RHBC is a primary source of support for the missions ministry. The Yellow House Ministry is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers that host yard sales and thrift store style assistance for local needs and assistance. All funds received go directly towards missions & ministry. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Ringel Heights Baptist Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Puppet Team

The puppet team called All Things Creative, uses black puppets to introduce children of all ages to Jesus Christ. Our puppet team not only performs in churches, but also produces safety programs used in local schools.

Ushers

The usher team at Ringel Heights Baptist Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Ringel Heights Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and/or audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Ringel Heights Baptist Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each week, during the morning, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Children’s Church (children’s ministry)

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Ringel Heights holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

Iron Men

How Do I Meet People?

Ringel Heights Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.

Sunday School

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Ringel Heights Baptist Church utilizes Sunday School to energize and inform the groups of scripture truths.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, the youth get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every student gets to participate and learn. The youth ministry of Ringel heights Baptist Church is recognized for their close interaction. The youth ministry meets each Sunday and Wednesday at 6:00 pm.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Ringel Heights Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)

Ringel Heights Baptist Church Women’s Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Iron Men

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. We believe iron sharpens iron.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. Ringel Heights Baptist Church gives married couples the opportunity to participate in marriage classes ranging on topics from Marriage and Money, Getting Ready for Kids, Shepherding Children, Marriage and Sex.
